Speech and Debate
by Stephen KaramIn the strange country that lies between adolescence and adulthood, where grown up ideas and ambitions coexist with childish will and bravado, three high school misfits are accidentally brought together by a sex scandal involving a teacher. They quickly realize that three voices are stronger than one and decide to form a speech and debate squad to launch a broadside into the hypocrisy of the adult world. Though powerful points... are made, Speech and Debate is a fiercely funny look at what it takes to be a teenager in the age of the cyberworld. Also included is an interpretive dance to George Michael's "Freedom," nude body stockings, dirty IM chat, ribbon dancing, a brief musical number regarding abraham lincoln questioning his sexual identity, and inappropriate touching of the bathing suit area.
*Speech and Debate contains content that may not be suitable for some audience members. As the show revolves around high school students, parents should use good judgement with younger potential audience members.

*The Peanuts: All Grown Up...When CB's dog dies from rabies, CB begins to question the existence of an afterlife. But a chance meeting with an artistic kid, the target of this group's bullying, offers CB a peace of mind and sets in motion a friendship that will push teen angst to the very limits. Drug use, suicide, eating disorders, teen violence, rebellion and sexual identity collide and careen toward an ending that's both haunting and hopeful.
